Sasha was born in Bangor, Wales on September 4, 1969, but spent most of his youth with his mother in the Welsh town of Sandycroft, Flintshire, North Wales. Sasha's mother, taught French at Hawarden High School. Sasha's early musical taste was primarily Top 40 pop music like The The and The Police. After an "idyllic childhood", he passed the entrance exam for Epsom College at age 17. However, he did not like Epsom and left before completing his Advanced Level (an academic qualification in England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Instead of continuing his schooling, Sasha moved to Bangor to live with his father and stepmother. Sasha's stepmother forced him to take piano lessons which, although he disliked them at the time, Sasha ultimately found to be beneficial to his music career.

Musika are delighted to welcome back one of the true legends of electronic music, to help launch the world renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This date marks the only Scottish appearance for Sasha in 2011. 

In support, Israeli house/techno icon Guy Gerber plays Live making his Edinburgh debut, fresh from headlining the world biggest underground events including the likes of Circo Loco and Cocoon, to helping produce P Diddys latest artist album. 

For over 10 years The Liquidroom has been entertaining music fans in and around Scotland by hosting gigs and events 7 days a week , 365 days a year. We are proud to have worked with artists from every music genre ; from Hip Hop to Rock, Country to Pop and we have seen Dj's from around the globe grace our stage for some phenomenal club nights. After being closed for refurbishment for almost 2 years, we are happy to be back bigger and better than ever. Sasha will be performing at the Third day of TomorrowLand 2011 in Boom, Belgium (Sunday, July 24th. 2011). Tomorrowland, the most talked Belgium festival, sold out all it's tickets in 5 days. Every year, the organization tries to surprise their visitors with an overwhelming atmosphere which thrills everyone from the first until the last note. A fairylike and unique decoration, 13 indoor and outdoor areas with more than 300 DJ's from all corners of the world, a gigantic dance valley, super cosy chill-out zones, jacuzzi's, the ultimate Saint Tropez feeling on the VIP terraces, thousands of hands in the air, falling rose leaves, BBQ's, summery coctails, fireworks, in short: One big party during 3 days.

After agreeing with the communities Boom and Rumst, the province of Antwerp and the recreational area De Schorre, it is with great pleasure we can finally announce that Tomorrowland will now take place over 3 festival days.

(In essence) So this means that Tomorrowland will take place on Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July 2011, with the festival ground fully opened on all three days. The camping ground will already be opened on Thursday 21 July in the morning and a few hours later the warming up camping party will open the festivities in the afternoon.

This is the 16th edition of Extrema Outdoor Holland and takes place on the recreational lake Aquabest near Eindhoven. The festival starts at 10:00AM and ends just after 11:00PM with a closing show.

Extrema outdoor takes place on every 3rd Saturday of July at the beautiful recreational lake Aquabest in Eindhoven. The steadily sold out dance festival developed to one of the most successful ones of the Lowlands and has been praised for both her intimate ambiance as well as her deco and the solid line-up.

The annual Extrema Outdoor Festival in Holland has announced their lineup for 2011. The lineup features some of the biggest electro and prog house artists (Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Armand Van Helden, Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg), as well as the top techno and underground house DJs (Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig).

Sasha at The Mid, Chicago (Saturday, March 12th. 2011). Meet The Mid, located in Chicago's meatpacking district in the West Loop, it meets somewhere in the middle of the city between Chicago's downtown and the neighborhoods within the city; somewhere in the middle of a live music venue and an upscale nightclub. The Mid seems to be in tune with live music and nightlife to give music lovers the ultimate concert experience.

The 801-person venue is located at 306 N. Halsted. Outside the doors of the club, the great views of the downtown skyline remind you of the wonderful city of Chicago. Inside The Mid, you will find three full service bars, ample room for dancing, cozy booths and table seating, and a VIP room equipped with its own bar and DJ booth. With the second floor balcony and seating, there is not a bad seat in the house, and the dual-floor bathrooms that are bigger than some apartments.
